Telling Jokes.
Cole is now 4 years and 3 months old. And his new thing is he likes to tell "jokes." The jokes he likes to tell are pretty much a variation of the same joke and it goes something like this:
"Hey mom, when does the house talk?" (He has also used tree as a variation.)
"I don't know, Cole. When does it talk?"
"At...... SUMMERTIME!! Hahahahah! Is that a funny joke, mom?!"
"SO funny, Cole! Who taught you that joke?!"
"Jesus did!"
Haha. Yes. So funny. Probably not for the same reason that he thinks ;) According to him, Jesus has taught him so many things! I don't really know where he comes up with this stuff but he likes to tell me this joke a lot. He's basically a comedic genius. And he always says that Jesus taught him :)
He has also been prefacing almost everything he says with: "Hey mommy/daddy, I need to tell you something..." Haha. I kind of love it. And he frequently will finish the thought by saying: "You're the best." ♥
And one of my favorite things that he does right now is he'll respond to things we tell him by saying: "Serious?!" in a high pitched voice. It just makes me smile :) Four year olds are pretty great.

Point No Point, WA
It was windy/chilly but the kids still had so much fun at the beach. Point No Point is only about an hour from Marie's house and the drive to it is absolutely breath-taking. This was my first time being on the western part of Washington in about 3-4 years and I'd completely forgotten just how beautiful it is there!
When we were there, it was all I could do to keep Logan from going straight into the waves! He seemed to have no hesitation getting soaking wet! Not to mention freezing cold! So that was kind of a challenge but it just made me laugh to myself :) And I don't even want to know how much sand Logan ended up eating while we were there! I remember telling him "Logan! Don't eat the sand!!" And Cole overheard me and he said to me: "Mommy, I got sand on my cupcake and I ate it all up and it was deeeeeeeeelicious!" Haha. Cupcakes with frosting + kids on a sandy beach don't really go together just FYI ;)
Next time I hope we can make it all the way to the Washington or Oregon coast! It was another 3 hours away which I wasn't feeling up to at the time but eventually I'll do it!
Ps, enjoy the video! It's less than a minute long :)

S e a t t l e
I decided to take a little road trip across the state a couple weeks ago and visit Marie in Seattle. It was my first time road tripping with just me and the boys and everything went so smoothly! It was such a fun trip! We went to the beach, took the ferry into Seattle, enjoyed yummy pastries from Pike's Place Market, checked out a real-life hobbit house! And when the kids went to bed in the evening, Marie and I would take off and run some fun errands! Like, Jack in the box milk shakes and cadbury eggs and TARGET!! It was basically a perfect trip with some much needed sister time and Cole and Logan got to spend some quality time getting to know their cousins more. I can't wait to do it again!!
All of these pictures are from my phone. I basically just dumped them here without any order to them at all. :)
