There's a puppy overload for you, but I don't really have to apologize for that do I?! They were just the cutest things and I couldn't get enough of them, obviously. These puppies belonged to Emma's neighbors and they let us come over and play with them on Saturday. Cole was in puppy heaven and loved having them climb/crawl/lick all over him ;) It's probably not good to have favorites, but my favorites were the little brown one and the tiny black one that Emma's holding. They were just so sweet! We played hard with them for a good 15 minutes, and then the puppies slowly started to fall asleep one by one. We wore them out!
The only thing cuter than a playful pup is a puppy that's asleep!
And now I want one!!!!!

+So thankful for my in-laws for hosting a wonderful thanksgiving dinner, complete with pecan pie, even with a wedding the very next day!! (Yvonne you are amazing!)
+So thankful for my little boy who has pretty much been neglected on this trip with us skipping his naps and with me being the wedding photographer. With as poorly as he's eaten from being on the go so much (he pretty much ate only whip cream for Thanksgiving dinner...) and as much as we've kept him going on little sleep, he's been pretty good!
+So thankful for my wonderful husband Steve who is so supportive of me. I love him and Cole so so much.

This is from last week when it was still warm outside because now it's freezing here (not really, but you know, not flip flop weather anymore).
Also, does anyone know what those yellow ball things are? They fall from the trees here when autumn hits and they're the weirdest-looking things I've ever seen. Cole absolutely loves them and calls them "balls" because it pretty much looks exactly like his tennis balls he loves to play with. We played catch with it for a good little while until he was distracted by digging in the dirt. He is ALL boy for sure!
Only a few more days until our trip to Utah! Getting excited!!!

I sure do love you but you wear me out sometimes!
I can't seem to keep up with this little guy anymore. He is down to one nap a day so from the time he wakes up at 6 or 7 in the morning until he goes down for his nap around 11 or 12, I am constantly trying to entertain him! He is completely over his toys and I can only let him watch so many movies in a day! So I feel like I am constantly trying to come up with things for him to do. Because if I don't he will destroy e v e r y t h i n g in the house! We play a lot of "ring around the rosies," he is obsessed with his trucks, and we play a lot of basketball out on the porch. We've hit this phase where I actually have to play with him because he doesn't like to play on his own. I never realized this til now, but I'm not much of a "player" if you know what I mean. Playing with his trucks, or doing ring around the rosies over and over and over gets old for me real fast. I know I'm not a bad mom but I could definitely do better in the "playful" area.
After Cole wakes up from his naps, we go out on walks and sometimes we go to the playground which he loves. If there are other kids at the playground, he gets all excited and wants to play with them. (They don't always want to play with him which kind of breaks my heart to watch but oh well...)
When Steve gets home they play basketball on the porch for a looong time! I guess Steve is a lot more fun at this than I am ;) Then we have dinner and he goes to bed. And don't even get me started on daylight savings.....:/ Cole is old enough now where it actually affects us. Now I know what all those moms were talking about on fb. Your baby is tired and cranky earlier in the day but you can't put them to bed at their normal bedtime because then they will be up and 1 in the morning and not want to go back to bed. It just throws everything off and although it's been a week since the change, we're still getting over it a little bit. I guess the sooner we adjust the better because in 6 months this will happen all over again! I just hope that we won't have any problems when we go to Utah in a little over a week! I'm excited about the trip but I a little more nervous to travel now that I have such an active toddler on my hands! Wish me luck!

This was the cutest little pumpkin patch ever. I can't remember ever going to any other pumpkin patch so I don't really know how it compares but we thought it was perfect. Cole had so much fun, especially in that old chevy. He is completely obsessed with trucks which, of course, I think is cute because I don't ever remember pointing out trucks to him or teaching him how to say "truck," but still somehow, he knows how to say it and he points them out all the time when we're driving!
On top of there being an old chevy to play in, there were also little wagons to pull him around in, mini tractors to ride, a house made of hay bales and a little playground! It was all free except for the corn maze which we didn't do. Maybe when Cole gets older. He was in heaven as it was with all the activities there were to do and threw a major fit when we had to leave (he's been throwing a lot of those lately. He must be turning two in a couple months.)
I'm so glad that we were able to go. We had tried the weekend before but Cole came down with the stomach bug before we left. And he ironically came down with another stomach bug on the same day that we actually went! Geez. This time of year is fun and everything but having your baby get the flu twice in one week totally stinks and makes me hate this season. Not really, but kind of. Maybe I should make a pros and cons list of the holiday season to make me feel better about this. All I'm going to say is that if it's going to be flu season then it might as well be cold outside and not 85+ degrees. Texas is so crazy sometimes.
